Made 4 Mum Placenta Encapsulation

This package includes collection of your placenta and delivery of your encapsulated placenta. We will also include keepsakes of your placenta including a description and photo and a Made 4 Mum baby grow for your special arrival.

Collection: Collection is included from Joondalup, Osborne Park Hospital and home birth north of the river.

Collection times: From 6am till 9pm

*Please note it is your responsibility to ensure the placenta is stored in the correct conditions- placed on ice within 2 hrs of birth or placed in the hospital fridge.

Q&A On Placenta Encapsulation

Q: Is it safe to encapsulate my placenta if I have placenta previa?

A: Yes, you can encapsulate your placenta if you have placenta previa. Even if the placenta is in pieces, it will not affect the encapsulation process.

Q: Can I encapsulate my placenta if I have GBS?

A: Yes, you can encapsulate your placenta if you have GBS. Your placenta is heated to a high temperature for up to 30 minutes to kill all harmful bacteria.

Q: How long does it take to encapsulate the placenta?

A: You will have your encapsulated placenta delivered to you within 24-48 hours from collection.

Q: Can I encapsulate my placenta if I have a premature baby?

A: Yes, you can encapsulate your placenta if you have a premature baby. Simply tell your health provider that you have a strong desire to encapsulate your placenta.

Q: Where will my placenta be encapsulated?

A: Made 4 Mum has a specifically designed area, using quality equipment and a high standard of cleanliness which will ensure the safety of your placenta throughout the encapsulation process.

Q: Can I encapsulate my placenta if meconium - stained liquor?

A: Yes, your placenta will be cleaned and steamed removing any sign of meconium.

Q: Can I encapsulate my placenta if I have a Caesarean Section?

A: Yes, you can encapsulate your placenta if you have a Caesarean Section. Simply tell your health provider that you have a strong desire to encapsulate your placenta.

The Placenta Encapsulation Process

Step 1: Cleaning

Your placenta will be cleaned, rinsed and any excess blood removed

Step 2: Steaming

The placenta is steamed at high temperatures to kill any harmful bacteria

Step 3: Drying

The placenta is then dehydrated for up to 12 hours

Step 4: Crushing

The dehydrated placenta is powderised and prepared for encapsulation

Step 5: Placenta Encapsulation

The powdered placenta is placed into the capsules and bottled ready for packing

Step 6: Delivery

Your placenta encapsulated pills are hand delivered to you
